Sessions:
I have a session booked with you but its raining outside? Saima will contact you a couple of hours before your session to discuss your options. You can either reschedule your session or we can do your session inside.
What are your hours? We are a residential studio and do not maintain regular hours. Typically sessions are held Thursday and Friday and some Saturdays. Everything is by appointment only.
Can I stop by the studio to see your work and look at your albums? Sure! Please make an appointment so we are available. We are by appointment only.
I refered a friend, do you offer anything for referrals? Yes! You will recieve a 4x6 credit for every person you refer to Saima's Photography. Once they have their session Saima will email you and let you know of your credit. You can use this credit on your next session prints. You may use as many credits as you would like.My child's school team needs pictures done, do you do team pictures? Yes! We have a sports/activity pricing available, have your coach or administrator contact us.
I want a session done at my home. Is that possible? Yes! Saima loves to go different places. What is more special that at your home too! Contact us and we'll discuss your session.
When do I pay for the session? When the session is held, typically at the end so we know how many add ons. We take cash, checks and all major credit cards.
Proofs:
How long do proofs stay online? 30 days from when they are posted online.
What happens to the proofs after 30 days? Any unordered files are deleted.
When will my proofs be posted online? About 1 week.
My organization is looking for donations for a fundraiser, can I contact you? Sure! We love to support our community. Typically we give a gift certificate for one free base studio session.
Ordering:
I need to order another print from my session but it is no longer online, can I still order? Yes! Providing you originally ordered the image as a print (or in an album) it is available for reprints. You can call or email Saima with the size and jpeg file name (SP7####.jpg). The file name is on the back of all non mounted prints. If you can't find the file name you can describe it to Saima and indicate what size your originally ordered. You can also order online through the reorder gallery under Client Sessions, which is usually the last gallery. There is an archival fee if the session is older then 6 months.
Do you touchup all the pictures I've ordered? We do general touchups (ie bug bites, stray hair, minor blemishes) on the larger prints (8x10 or bigger). It is best to put a note in your order or send a seperate email if your concerned about a particular touchup.
I want to order Holiday Cards, how do I do this? We offer designer cards that are already designed, you just pick out the images you would like to be plugged in and the family greeting you would like.
I don't see a design I like for Holiday Cards, now what? We can custom design a card for you! Just let us know what size card you would like, what pictures you would like on the card and what kind of greetings you would like. If you have a style you like or any ideas let us know that as well. Saima will design two cards for you to pick from by showing you them on the proofs gallery. There is a design fee for custom design work.
I'm concerned about the cropping of an 8x10. The online ordering system will show you what a crop of any size would look like but it is a dead center crop and not always the best crop for the image. We review all images before they are sent to the lab and we will adjust the cropping as necessary. If you are concerned please leave us a message on your order or send us a seperate email.
I like the effect you did on one of my proofs but I would like it on another image? Just let us know when you order or email us and we can post that image with the effect on the proofs.
Do effects cost more? No
I want a collage of some of my images. Can I do that? Answer: Yes! We offer predesigned storyboards.
What sizes are the storyboards? The storyboards are a 10x20 size.
Can I order a different size collage then a storyboard? Yes! Saima can design a collage (11x14 or bigger) out of the images you choose. There is a design fee for this service.
How do I get the prints I ordered? When you checkout online you will be asked if you would like your order shipped to you or if you would like to pick them up.
How will I know when my prints are done? We will send you an email when they are done and you can arrange a time with Saima to pick them up.
How long do prints take? Typically prints take 2 weeks.
What if I want my order sooner then 2 weeks? We offer a 'Rush' service that will directly deliver your order to your home within 2-3 buisness days.
Are there any discounts or coupons available? Yes! Everyone recieves 10% off their entire order if you order within the first 14 days when your proofs go online. The end date of the discount is kept track of on the proofs online.
Are there any other discounts or coupons? The only other promotion Saima's Photography offers is in May where you receive a free set of wallets if you book your senior session before May 31st.
Digital Images:
Can I use my prints for facebook? No, all photos are copyrighted by Saima's Photography and scanning or copying Saima's work in any way is illigal.
How can I get a picture on facebook from my session? If your order is more then $300 one low resolution copyrighted image can be posted on Saima's Photography facebook buisness page and you will be tagged. If your order is more then $400 Saima will put 2 low resolution copyrighted images on facebook and $500 3 low resolution copyrighted images will be posted on facebook.
What if I don't order more then $300? Can I still get an image on facebook? Yes! You may buy a single high resolution image file and use it on facebook.
I've ordered more then $300, now how do I get my picture on facebook? Go to Saima's Photography facebook page and 'like' the page. Also send Saima at saima@saimasphotography.com the image(s) you would like posted on facebook. Saima will email you back when it is posted.
I want a digital file for Christmas cards, can you give me the file so I can have them printed somewhere else? Sure! We offer a single high resolution image file you can purchase.
